Correction of array failure using grey wolf optimizer hybridized with an interior point algorithm None

Shafqat Ullah KHAN, M. K. A. RAHIM, Liaqat ALI

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2018, Volume 19, Issue 9,   Pages 1191-1202 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1601694

Abstract:

We design a grey wolf optimizer hybridized with an interior point algorithm to correct a faulty antenna array. If a single sensor fails, the radiation power pattern of the entire array is disturbed in terms of sidelobe level (SLL) and null depth level (NDL), and nulls are damaged and shifted from their original locations. All these issues can be solved by designing a new fitness function to reduce the error between the preferred and expected radiation power patterns and the null limitations. The hybrid algorithm has been designed to control the array’s faulty radiation power pattern. Antenna arrays composed of 21 sensors are used in an example simulation scenario. The MATLAB simulation results confirm the good performance of the proposed method, compared with the existing methods in terms of SLL and NDL.

Progressive failure analysis of notched composite plate by utilizing macro mechanics approach

Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering 2021, Volume 15, Issue 3,   Pages 623-642 doi: 10.1007/s11709-021-0726-8

Abstract: In this study, gradual and sudden reduction methods were combined to simulate a progressive failure inUsing the presented method, a progressive failure is simulated based on a linear softening law priorto a catastrophic failure, and thereafter, sudden reduction methods are employed for modeling a progressivefailure. The proposed method is intended to predict the first ply failure (FPF), LPF, and dominant failure modes

Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering   Pages 1033-1046 doi: 10.1007/s11709-023-0973-y

Abstract: This study focuses on the bending failure performance of a shield tunnel segment.A full-scale test was conducted to investigate deformation and failure characteristics.During the loading, the bending failure process can be divided into four stages: the elastic stage, workingstage with cracks, failure stage, and ultimate stage. The characteristic loads between contiguous stages are the cracking, failure, and ultimate loads.

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2007, Volume 2, Issue 4,   Pages 388-393 doi: 10.1007/s11465-007-0067-x

Abstract: A new artifact called 3D-step-gauge consisting of a pyramid array and a compound, is proposed to calculate geometrical errors for machine tools. Only one point on each profile of the pyramid in the array is probed, and its center coordinate can be calculated. Then, the intervals of the pyramids can be transfered a length standard to measure errors. Considering the differences in the structural parameters and the location of the pyramids, a volumetric error measurement method of discrete points is presented. Furthermore, the location errors between the calibration state and the measurement state are studied and their influences on the accuracy of the position measurement are investigated on an actual machine tool. The 3D-step-gauge was tested on an actual machine tool and the measurement result shows quick assembly, convenient measurement, and high accuracy.

Simulation on Hitting Probability of MMW Remote ControllingTrajectory Correction Munition Intercepting

Hu Ronglin,Li Xingguo

Strategic Study of CAE 2007, Volume 9, Issue 10,   Pages 65-70

Abstract:

The basic principle of millimeter wave remote controlling munitions (MMW-RCTCM) is demonstrated in the introduction.  Then the concept of correctable intercepting flow is proposed.  And the anti-air shooting model of millimeter wave remote controlling munitions (MMW-RCTCM) intercepting mobile anti-ship missile (MACM) is established in section 2 and 3.  Subsequently,  the hitting probability of single MMW-RCTCM vs.  single MACM as well as MMW-RCTCM flow vs.  single MACM and MMW-RCTCM flow vs.  MACM flow are analyzedin detail.  The probabilities of the above are simulated based on the parameters of the two sides of attacking and intercepting in the 5th section.  It is illustrated that comparing with the non-controlling munitions,  the efficiency of MMW-RCTCM is increased remarkably.  At the last,  it is concluded that the MMW-RCTCM can resist the attacking of saturate flow; ultra-sonic MACM.
